Maine Restaurant Week – 2019

A Celebration of the culinary talents of area restaurants!

During restaurant week, restaurants offer specially priced three-course meals with chefs going above and beyond their typical year round hard work of taking care of their customers!  The first restaurant week concept originated in New York City in the early nineties and caught on in Maine in 2009.

Experience all the fine flavors Maine has to offer with special menu prices for both lunch and dinner.

Why restaurant week?
Because winter is tough on Maine restaurants. Dealing with snow closures, parking bans, frigid temperatures and much more is no small task. We created restaurant week to give the owners and staff a boost. Also we think it’s important to celebrate this amazing restaurant community during all times of the year. We are really lucky to live near such as phenomenal restaurant scene. 

What are the special menu prices?
Depending on the restaurant, either 25, 35, 45 or 55. Also some participating restaurants will serve prix fixe lunches starting at 15. It’s all explained on the restaurant page and on each of the individual restaurant pages. 

Does this price include taxes and tips?
No and please remember to tip your bartender and server well. They’re some of the hardest working people around.

Is every Maine restaurant participating in restaurant week?
Everyone is invited but the truth is, it’s not a fit for every restaurant. This year’s roster of participating restaurants is full of great places to try.

Do I need to make reservations?
Yes we strongly encourage this. We have included OpenTable reservation links on many of the individual restaurant pages to make it really easy for you.
